RAMBLINGS - As I have said, I believe I am a healer/teacher. The thing is I have no students. Or so I thought. Now I have only felt this healer/teacher thing for maybe 6 months tops. Good thing because if I had known this for years, I would feel awful. When one asks in prayer for things, you have to be ready to receive an answer. I was and low and behold, in asking for wisdom I was granted an avalanche of knowledge. First, I was given some insight to Krys's problems. Second i was given insight into Deb's me first, I gave up everything feelings, and third I was given my students. You see, I have been living with my student spirits my whole life and didn't know it. Both Krys and Deb possess anger. My teachings are to eliminate negative feelings. Bingo. Now how I am to go about doing this, I do not yet know.

DREAMS - 1) was riding with Tony in his car and we turned around a corner and hit a tree trunk that looked like it had been uprooted from a storm. We did not hit it hard but the car fell backwards landed on its roof and then rolled onto its side. I opened the door and climbed out. There was no damage to the car. 2) I was at a strip club and some guy was coming out from under a table to join the girl on a stage. I didn't see them because I was looking through a box of stamps. At the end the man got two sets of gold colored coins. I said I would rather have the set i found in the box which was from the Philippines. I asked him how much his entertainment cost. I said it cost me $79 for the stamps. 3) I was walking down a street and saw a stalled car in the middle of the street. I climbed into the car and all of a sudden it began to move. There was a erson pushing it. I moved behind the wheel and steered it towards the curb in back of a pickup truck that had a dead cat in it. The man who was oriental got into his car. I walked next to him and said it wasn't my car, but I wanted to get it out of the street.

DREAMS - 1) Deb and I were someplace like a courtyard and I wanted to check out a house that I thought was for sale. She stayed there and I walked though a development. I passed 4 children having their picture taken. Right past them was a huge mansion that was gutted on the inside. There were a lot of windows and you could see that the house would need a lot of restoration. I went back to the courtyard to get Deb to show her. I mentioned that finding this was similiar to finding the Turner farm in East Stroudsburg (a 100 acre farm right near the populated area). 2) I was watching a DVD of old group concert footage. I recall see the Supremes. The sound quality was not that good. I also was browsing what looked like a copy of a booklet that said what groups were on the DVD. 3) There were a bunch of people and we were playing trivial pursuit. Wade (my brother) was there and he wasn't playing. Someone asked if he would play next time and he said no. The person who asked him said he might as well leave if he was not going to ever play. He picked up his stuff and left. I commented that he didn't like trivia games and that we were not being fair to him by playing them all the time.
RAMBLES - I walked to the post office yesterday and I noticed that the light posts in town have their Christmas wreaths on them already. Somehow this just does not seem right. I remember as a kid, Christmas was officially on the way when you saw Santa at the end of the Thanksgiving Day Parade. Now I have already seen one place with Christmas lights, and now this. Of course, we were in K-mart a month ago and they had their Christmas stuff out. Every year I think it - I agree with the old Peanuts special. Christmas is too commercial and they said that in 1965. I long for a quiet Christmas, where I can just spend at least one night just taking it all in. Its one of the reasons I like going into NYC to do a little shopping ahead of time. I kind of feel all alone then, just me and my thoughts. I like that.

DREAMS - I came into work and I was dressed down in a t-shirt and jeans. It was a Thursday, and everyone else was dressed as they would normally. I told people that it was my Friday and that I was off tomorrow. I went to get a cup of coffee and when I poured it I noticed the coffee maker was a mess. I looked and saw the filter had got scrunched up causing the coffee to not process properly. I asked if anyone was familiar with the cone shaped filters and explained the proper way to put them into the pot. I went back to my desk and began looking through some stuff that i was going to do for Kurt because he was out. I heard Al ask Bill where we stood on AIG (which was what I had just begun to look at). I woke up.

HISTORY - So you ask who or what is an Aram Aandahl? He is a pen name that was created quite some time ago. I began writing songs in 1966 at the age of 14. It seemed like the right thing to do. I played bass in a band and the lead guitarist and I wrote 3 songs that were OK by 14 year old standards, but we only performed 2 of them when we played. I continued to write, but since I had limited ability in actually writing the music down, it all became just words on paper. I wrote a lot, mainly expressing what I was feeling at the time. While I cannot put my finger on it exactly, on 9/30/71 I began writing under the pen name of Aram Aandahl. I honestly do not remember why I chose that name. Looking online I see nothing that would have led me to pick a last name of Aandahl, but I did. I continued to write up until June of 1975, when I laid down my pen for the most part and I have not written a song since. I guess it was because I really did not have the emotional stuff running through my body anymore, and I was/am happy. Also, not being able to actually write the music down was/is a problem. I plan on taking up the piano, and once I can do more than bang out a couple of notes, I intend to write once more. Most everyone does not know that there is a book of my songs sitting in the bookcase, and in fact they will be thrown out if no one knows about them when I die. They are meaningful only as an in sight as to what was going on in my life at the time the songs were written, as for the first 100 or so I wrote on the back what they were about. I got a little lazy, and then things changed around the time of summer of 1972. I never wrote down what the songs were about , mainly in fear that the description would be read. Perhaps in this blog I will reveal some of that as I doubt anyone will ever stumble upon the Ramblings of Aram. The right time to ramble on about this would be in June of 2007, for then it will be 35 years. Then again, there are somethings that are best left unsaid and stay behind doors in your mind that should stay forever locked.

DREAMS - I was at work and I noticed Al (my boss) had showed up. He motioned for me to come into an office with him (we are going through a period of layoffs at work and sooner or later we will all be gone). I brought my plastic axe with me ( I have kept an executioners plastic axe at work waiting for my turn). Al said he was sorry this had to happen and asked if I would consider working at the company if there was another job I was qualified for and if the pay was right. I said I would consider that but I doubted that anything would be available. He asked if I would work outside. I said yes. He then said there was a job that I could do. It would be to maintain an outdoor courtyard outside the building. He took me outside to show me what I would have to take care of. It wasn't very big and there was an urn with flowers in it that I liked. Around the base of the plants it said Magna in script. He was happy I would do this job. and we left it at that. Bill and I walked back to my desk. I was going to call Debby and tell her, but there was a call about a problem with the system that I needed to look into. Some job had not run in 11 months and was trying to run now. I was looking into the problem when I woke up. (in reality there is no courtyard in the building where I work). There was also a fourth person in the room with us when Al was talking to me. I didn't know who that was. There was also a man outside in the courtyard. He had a bunch of boxes with bandsaws in them.
RAMBLES - Today is the third day in a row that I have woken up at exactly 3:48 AM without an alarm. This has never happened before to my recollection.

So one has to ask oneself, why do this? Why create something no one will ever read? I guess because what I should have written long ago was a book. There is just way too much stuff that no one in the family knows about me that should be put on paper. If I did this via a book on a CD, then one day CD's will become obsolete and I will just have wasted my time. Now this sort of blog will be made up of a few different things, not always the same type posted each day. Those prefaced with HISTORY is exactly that. Things about my or family past that limited people know. DREAMS will be any dreams I remember from the night before. I used to record them many years ago. No attempt at deciphering will be done. BELIEFS will be the spiritual side of me. RAMBLES will be whats going on in my head, life etc. The web address will be on a card in my wallet, that may or not be found when I have left this earth for another place. Will I let people know about this blog? Maybe. Of course this is meaningless to anyone who knows me as Aram Aandahl is a pen name from 35 years ago. More about that on another day when I have nothing to write. For now this will suffice for day 1
